How do I get to Wells House?

When do I need to arrive at Wells House & Gardens?

The time on your ticket is your allocated time to arrive for parking. We are asking all of our guests to arrive on time. Once on site you will be directed to a car parking space. Please adhere to our stewards directions as there is a planned parking strategy in place.

What are the dates and times? 

The Land of Light Experience runs every  Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 22nd October 2021 to 18th December 2021. First entry is at 6.00 pm, with final entry at 8.30 pm.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are priced at €18.50 per adult, €14.00 per child, or €60.00 for a family of two adults and two children. Children under 24 months go free. (€1.50 applies per booking) 

Tickets are only valid for the chosen date and time of the booking only. Tickets are non-refundable.

 Do I need to bring a printed ticket?

No, you can just show us the barcode on your phone and we will scan that.

What about bad weather?

The Land of Light Experience is an outdoor event, and can be enjoyed in all weathers. However, if we have to cancel because of an extreme weather event, you can reschedule, or contact us for a refund.

Is the event wheelchair and pram friendly?  

The forest trail is suitable for most prams and wheelchairs.

Is a carer  free to accompany a person with additional needs?

Yes one carer is included. Please bring relevant ID and documentation, such as IAA Autism Card, or an associated membership card, GP letter or hospital consultant letter which  confirms the visitor is unable to visit Land of Light independently without the aid of a carer or mobility aid. 

 How long does it take?

We recommend you put aside at least 90 minutes to enjoy our Land of Light experience. The forest trail itself is around 1.5 Kilometres long.

Is the event suitable for everyone?

One of the best things about The Land of Light Experience is that it’s suitable for all the family, youngest to the wisest! However, the experience is not suitable for anyone who might be adversely affected by flashing lights.

Is there on-site catering?

 There will also be on site catering serving hot foods and hot and cold drinks.

Is there parking on-site?

Yes, there’s parking for all our visitors.

Is the event COVID-compliant?

The Land of Light Experience is an outdoor event, and has been specially designed with social distancing in mind. All the relevant COVID-19 safeguards and procedures are in place to keep you safe.

Is there a discount for group bookings?

Can we walk the Forest trail multiple times?

Due to current guidelines we are sadly not able to give you second access to the trail.

Are there stewards on site?

Yes, there will be stewards placed along the route.

Are dogs allowed?

Sorry no. Only assistance dogs are allowed as there is a lot of ground based electrical equipment.

Is alcohol accepted?

No. Please don’t bring alcohol into our site, we will confiscate any alcoholic products.                              

Can we take pictures?

Of course! We just ask that you don’t block the trail and keep to the rules on current social distancing. We’d love you to share your pictures and hashtag them too! #LandOfLight

Are drones permitted?

No, drones are not permitted.

What should I bring and wear?

Dress for a typical Irish winter evening out! Wellies are recommended or sturdy boots – this is a rural trail! Wrap up warm, remember your gloves and bring your waterproofs when required.  Please don’t bring an umbrella – see below!

No. Any belongings that you do not want to carry with you should be left with your vehicle.
