When do I need to arrive at Belvedere House, Gardens and Park?

The time on your ticket is your allocated time to arrive for parking. We are asking all of our guests to arrive on time
(15 mins. before your slot time).

Is there car parking available?

Yes, we have car parking available. However, Parking is extremely limited. You are entitled to one FREE car ticket per booking. Additional car par tickets can be bought for Belvedere Car Park at €10 per car. Please adhere to our stewards’ directions as there is a planned parking strategy in place. Other parking locations will be made available over the coming weeks. If you turn up to Belvedere without a valid car parking ticket you will be refused entry to the event. 

What are the dates and times?

The Land of Light experience runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 8th of November to the 23rd December between 4pm-830pm. Dates may change subject to demand.

How much are tickets?

Off Peak Tickets are priced at €20.00 per adult, €15.00 per child, OAP 18.00 or €68.00 for a family of two adults and two children. Children under 24 months go free. (€1.85 applies per transaction)

Peak Tickets are priced at 22.00 per adult, 17.00 per child, 18.00 OAP or 75.00 for a family of two adults and two children. Children under 24 months go free. (1.85 applies per transaction)

Tickets are only valid for the chosen date and time of the booking only. Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can however be changed 96 hours before your booking. Please email tickets@landoflight.ie

Do I need to bring a printed ticket?

No, you can just show us the barcode on your phone and we will scan that.

What happens if I can’t make Land Of Light or want to cancel?

Tickets are non refundable, however we are happy to allow you to (1) reschedule your tickets by sending an email to tickets@landoflight.ie with the new date and time you are looking to reschedule to. An admin charge of €10 applies. This must be done 96 hours before booking. On our new booking portal you will have the opportunity to set up your own account and change your booking directly. This can be done free of charge (96 hours before booking)

(2) gift your tickets to friends/family for the same date 

What about bad weather?

The Land of Light experience is an outdoor event and can be enjoyed in all weathers. However, if we have to close Land of Light because of an orange weather warning issued in County Westmeath you have the option to reschedule your visit. 

To reschedule go to the Land of Light.ie booking page and choose your new slot. Then email tickets@landoflight.ie your original booking details and your new booking details and we will complete the reschedule for you.

Is the event wheelchair and pram friendly?

The forest trail is suitable for most prams and wheelchairs. However, this is a forest trail experience at night time. The terrain will never be perfect. There are a few inclines at certain points and we will have our staff at key areas of the trail. Feel free to pop down to Belvedere in advance of your experience if you need to test the terrain and make the event will be suitable.

Is there accommodation on site?

There is no accommodation on site but we have a list of nearby hotels and B&B options that you might like to check out here.

Is a carer free to accompany a person with additional needs?

One Carer is free of charge when accompanying an individual with additional needs. Carer slots are advertised on the booking portal.

However, you will be asked to show one of the following types of ID/documentation upon entrance – IAA Autism Card, or an associated membership card, GP letter or hospital consultant letter which confirms the visitor is unable to visit Land of Light independently without the aid of a Carer or mobility aid.

How long does it take?

We recommend you put aside 60-90 minutes to enjoy our Land of Light experience. The trail itself is longer than previous years. Our trail is now 2km long and the longest light up forest trail in Ireland.

Is the event suitable for everyone?

One of the best things about the Land of Light experience is that it’s suitable for all the family –  youngest to the wisest! Last year we welcomed babies, toddlers, children, teens, young couples, adults, grandparents and great grandparents! However, the experience is not suitable for anyone who might be adversely affected by flashing lights.

Is there on-site catering?

There will also be on site catering serving hot foods, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Is there a discount for group bookings?

Are there stewards on site?

Yes, there will be stewards placed along the route.

Are dogs allowed?

Guide dogs are very welcome at Land of Light. However family pets are not allowed on site.

Is alcohol accepted?

No. Please don’t bring alcohol into our site, we will confiscate any alcoholic products.

Can we take pictures?

Of course! We just ask that you don’t block the trail and keep to the rules on current social distancing. We’d love you to share your pictures and hashtag them too! #LandOfLightIreland

Are drones permitted?

No, drones are not permitted.

What should I bring and wear?

Dress for a typical Irish winter evening out! Wellies are recommended or sturdy boots – this is a rural trail! Wrap up warm, remember your gloves and bring your waterproofs when required. Leave umbrellas at home though as they can obstruct the view of others and cause damage to some of our hanging lights and features.

Is there somewhere I can leave my belongings?

No. Any belongings that you do not want to carry with you should be left with your vehicle.

Tickets for Belvedere House, Gardens and Park need to be purchased separately.
